What is Paganism?

There’s an old saying among pagans. “All Wiccans are Pagans, but not all Pagans are Wiccans.” It’s time we adopt a new saying. “All Pagan religions are non-Christian, but not all non-Christian religions are Pagan.”

For a very long time neo-Pagans have referred to Paganism as an umbrella term, That is to say that Paganism covers a wide range of religions. This is a very loose definition of the term that has been used by neo-Pagans to basically classify any religion that is a non-Christian religion as a Pagan one for so long that it’s just plain accepted at face value. Even Google list it as such “Other than one of the main world religions” but that translates to just “non-Christian” when you take into account that Pagans almost exclusively focus on Christianity for its oppression and not only turn a blind eye to Islam for its oppression, but even defend it.

This loose definition includes Native American, Universal Unitarian, voodoo, satanism, Santeria and many other religions. There’s even a rise of people claiming to be “Pagan Atheist” if you can believe such nonsense.

The true meaning of the word Pagan is “Country Folk”. The term was used by the Roman Christian churches of ancient Europe to describe the native people of Europe. So when they referred to a religion as “Pagan” they were specifically referring to the native religions of the European people. Likewise when the church referred to native Scandinavians they called them “Heathens”. And today many Scandinavian religions are called Heathen religions because Pagan refers to the south-western Europe region. Both terms came to be used as derogatory terms by the church to diminish and stigmatize the old religions. But this reasoning is lost when neo-Pagans wrap, say Native American religions, in a cloak of Paganism. Are they not simultaneously committing an act of colonialism while diminishing the old religions of Europe even further… effectively harming them just as the invading Christians did?

Today neo-Pagans have taken the term to include non-European religions of Africa, Native Americans, aboriginal Australians, Taoism, Buddhism and many others. But by classifying Paganism as to mean any religion that is non-Christian (excuse me, non-main world religion), is to classify Paganism to be specifically an anti-Christian Collective. This is an abuse of the term that both vilifies Paganism as well as Waters it down to a meaningless synonym for “diversity”. When Pagans refer to Native American religions, for example, as “Pagan” they are committing cultural appropriation in the name of the cultural Marxism that has invaded Paganism.

This has also opened the door for black supremacist to claim not only are African religions Pagan, but that they are the true Pagans. Pagans which ancient Europeans culturally appropriated, and in turn let them classify All European Paganism as the result of white supremacy.

The true definition of Paganism needs to be reclaimed with a more clear definition to use in these modern times of identity politics. Now when someone asks me what is a Pagan, I respond:

“A Pagan is a person who follows any of the Native European religions or contemporary religions derived from them.”

If this definition gets propagated throughout the community we could take back Paganism from the cultural Marxist that have worked to make Paganism little more than a club for anti-christian liberals seeking to pad their intersectional oppression resume.

Wicca, A Pro-Life Religion

Contrary to the portrayal of Wicca as a pro-abortion religion by both christians and atheist liberals, Wicca is really a Pro-life religion.

Wicca teaches that all things are sacred, that all things have a spirit and that all that is of Mother Earth deserves our protection and preservation. The Witch’s Rede states “These 13 words reside forever under the Gods will, An harm ye none, Less be it to preserve, do what thou will.”

The Air that bird and insects fly in, who’s freedom and right to live is something we value as important. And for that we fight to keep the air clean so they may live.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Water that fish swim in, who’s freedom and right to live is something we value as important. And for that we right to keep our water clean so they may live.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The fire that destroys the dead overgrowth of forest to make way for new vegetation to grow and create better habitats for animals who’s freedom and right to live will be better sustained. And for this the fight to tame fire is something we value as important so it works for good instead of destruction. the same fire we use to cook with and warm our homes, to keep ourselves and those animal friends who share our dwellings with us, alive and living free.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Earth below us, ever constant yet changing. It too is sacred as it gives home to all creatures. Creatures who’s freedom and right to live is something we value as important. And for this we fight to keep the Earth clean so they may live.

 

 

 

 

 

 

All things are divine from the birds, to insects, from fish to land creatures. The elements are too divine as we hold them sacred for all things have the spirit of the Great Lady and Lord, Goddess and God. They inhabit all things just as we are a part of them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

So be it known that none may call themselves “Wiccan” and not recognize the sanctity and divinity of an unborn baby. Since we all born, die and reborn, we know that life is not something that just begins, life is something that was always there. Life is there before conception. A baby in the womb is the very embodiment of the Goddess, the living effigy of her promise of new life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The very cauldron on our Altars is to remind us of the sanctity of not just the womb, but of what it carries… we pray to this and yet it is a mere symbol, a representation of the real thing… And to call it anything less is to spit in her eyes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It is our holy charge to be the caretakers of not just what is sacred, but for that which can not take care of itself… that which is most vulnerable to negative actions of others through ill will or ignorance. To protect the life the Goddess creates is the very embodiment of the God. And to find any reason to justify otherwise is to spit in his eyes.

Abortion ends a life, and to trivialize life is as far from Wicca as one can get. It goes against everything the Rede and all teachings of the divine give.

A Blessing Ritual For Firearms

Firearms are a pretty divisive topic among Pagans, mostly because of the amount of anti-Second Amendment leftism that has been trying to dominate it. One Wiccan man, Roy Adams, has stepped out of the box and published on his personal website the ritual his coven does to bless their firearms.

“In lieu of recent events over recent years I have become more and more aware of the importance of being able to defend one self. As is the laws of nature, all living being have a right to defend their lives and this is something Pagans have long embraced. But another thing I have noticed is a large oversight by modern Paganism to place any focus on weapons beyond historical reenactments. With just a few minutes of research one can easily find spells, incantations and potions used to bless anything and everything for luck, protection and safety… except weapons. Blessing weapons was a very time honored tradition for eons but is now all but forgotten to today’s generation. So here is the ritual my coven uses to bless our weapons for self defense.”

Many components of his ritual are very focused on safety and reminiscent to prayers used by samurai  warriors.

This will probably cause some knee jerk reactions, let’s just hope his ritual doesn’t get spun or perverted into some pro-killing strawman by the anti-gun leftist.
